Goanna Ag Appoints James Quinn as General Manager, Sales and Operations, Australia

Agronomy leader with 30+ years of industry experience joins Goanna Ag to strengthen grower outcomes and accelerate Australian growth

Goanna Ag, Australia's leading farm intelligence company, has appointed James Quinn as General Manager, Sales and Operations, Australia. James brings more than 30 years of experience spanning technical agronomy and executive leadership, with deep expertise in crop establishment, water use efficiency, and production systems, particularly within the Australian cotton industry.

Most recently, James led growth, development, and digital portfolios at Cotton Seed Distributors (CSD), where he oversaw the delivery of advanced decision-support tools, AI-driven platforms, and industry-backed research initiatives that strengthened on-farm performance across the sector.

Throughout his career, James has built a reputation for translating strategy into execution, strengthening key industry relationships, and delivering measurable improvements in grower productivity. His background spanning research, extension, and executive delivery means he understands both the science behind a recommendation and the practical realities of putting it to work on farm.

James looks forward to continuing to drive sales and operational excellence for customers.

“I am excited by the opportunity and looking forward to the challenge of making sure growers have dependable technology and data and turning it into practical tools they can trust to improve their crops and operations,” James said.

“Goanna Ag consistently delivers high-quality products and services through strong alignment of manufacturing, supply chain, and field service functions, which makes the role even more exciting for growers in Australia,” he added.

Known for his ability to contribute to a company’s strategic direction while remaining grounded in operational outcomes, James is ideally placed to lead Goanna Ag’s Australian commercial operations.

Jay Jalota, CEO of Goanna Ag is excited to have James joining the leadership team.

“James is ideally placed to lead Goanna Ag’s Australian commercial operations,” Jay said.

“We’ve worked closely with him over the years, so we know firsthand the experience, practical insights and network he brings.”

“For our clients and staff, this means even stronger local support, faster decision-making, and a continued focus on delivering practical, high-value outcomes in the field.”

As Goanna Ag continues to expand across crop types and regions across Australia, James will play a key role in deepening customer relationships, building industry partnerships, and ensuring that the company’s operational performance keeps pace with its growth ambitions. His extensive network across the Australian agricultural sector will be central to those efforts.
