Goanna Ag is thrilled to announce its involvement in the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin telemetry project. In collaboration with the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (the department), this ground-breaking initiative is set to streamline water management for Queensland water entitlement holders. As part of this initiative, growers will have the opportunity to receive telemetry devices for their surface water meters, free of charge.

CRDC has collaborated with the UniSQ’s Centre for Agricultural Engineering to license a ground-breaking algorithm to Goanna Ag. This revolutionary technology empowers cotton growers with precise early-season canopy temperature measurements, eliminating the need for sensor height adjustments throughout the crop's growth cycle. Developed by Dr. Alison McCarthy at UniSQ, the algorithm utilises multiarray sensors to differentiate between canopy and bare soil temperatures during the crucial early growth stages, aiding irrigation decision-making.

Goanna Ag, Cotton Seed Distributors and CRDC partnered to support the Australian Cotton Irrigation Enterprises with the creation of the Water Dashboard: like an online bank account, so growers can quickly and accurately see how much they have at any given time. The Water Dashboard will be an online tool that enables individual farms or enterprises to make informed decisions regarding their overall water account in real time.

A major milestone has been reached in the effort to help minimise spray drift, with a hazardous weather warning system now live for Queensland grain and cotton growers. The system – named Weather and Networked Data or WAND – is the result of six years of collaborative research by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and CRDC into meteorological conditions and the spray application of crop protection products.

The grains and cotton industries have today announced a $5.5 million investment to help minimise spray drift through a five-year partnership with Goanna Ag. The investment will see the GRDC and CRDC, in partnership with Goanna Ag develop a spray drift hazardous weather warning system that will provide real-time weather data and alerts to growers and spray operators about the presence of temperature inversions.

New partnership to contribute to sustainability for cotton growers. Bayer and Goanna Ag partnership to help cotton growers improve water use efficiency. Bayer to provide myBMP certified growers with access to Goanna Ag’s GoField® PLUS technology. The technology uses field data and analytics help growers optimise irrigation scheduling and eligible growers can opt in from August 2021.

Leading climate analytics will combine with a regional Australia weather network to help growers identify and manage on farm climate risks. Skip is a collaboration between leading seed supplier Pacific Seeds, Californian climate and data science start-up ClimateAi, and Goondiwindi based AgTech company Goanna Ag.

THRIVE has announced the next iteration of their agrifood-focused technology accelerator and the 12 startups selected to join their THRIVE VII cohort. Goanna Ag has announced the roll-out of a publicly available LoRaWAN Internet of Things (IoT) network supported by the National Narrowband Network Co (NNNCo), to bring smarter irrigation management solutions to Australian cotton growers. The network, an extension of NNNCo’s existing network coverage, covers an area of some 3 million hectares, and will continue to be expanded throughout 2019.

GoannaAg has today announced the completion of its first capital raising, securing $3.35 million in growth funding from prominent public and privately-owned businesses including Westpac Banking Corporation, GrainCorp Operations Pty Ltd, and Michael Hinze Premium Farms Holdings Pty Ltd (MHPF). The funding will add to the initial investment made by Delta Agribusiness and David Murray, to be used to deliver on Goanna Ag’s key business objectives.
